Alan Didak is out of Collingwood's side for Friday night's preliminary final against Sydney because of his calf injury.
But Magpies ruck-forward Chris Dawes is in the line-up to face the Swans at Sydney's Olympic stadium, despite his knee injury.
Didak and Dawes were injured in last Saturday night's semi-final win over West Coast at the MCG.
The Magpies recalled Ben Sinclair, while Swans defender Heath Grundy returns from suspension and comes in for injured forward Ben McGlynn.
Hawthorn's Jordan Lewis and Clinton Young are back from injury for the Saturday twilight preliminary final against Adelaide at the MCG.
Brendan Whitecross is out because of his knee reconstruction and Tom Murphy was dropped.
The Crows lost Sam Shaw with a hamstring injury and recalled Andy Otten.
Jared Petrenko suffered a shoulder injury in the last minute of the Crows' semi-final win over Fremantle, but he was named in the side.
